BUFFER BEAR NURSERY

Opening times: 7.30am - 6.30pm. At Buffer Bear at Wimbledon your child can feel at home, make friends, and develop as an individual in a happy and stimulating environment. The nursery is registered for 57 children. It is arranged across five rooms to allow children to be cared for by age and ability. In addition to indoor play and early learning areas there is also access to two secluded and secure gardens. Gymnastics for 2-5 year olds is available. A full time cook provides meals on site.

Every day at Buffer Bear begins with a smile. Early starters can meet their friends, and tuck in to a breakfast of cereal, toast and fruit. During the morning, your child might read their favourite story, explore a variety of sensory activities, or enjoy some special time with their key person. Each activity is designed to promote learning and independence, in a safe and secure environment. We also encourage every child to play outside, and explore with their friends in all weathers. Drinks and fresh fruit snacks are always readily available, to provide energy and satisfy the thirst for adventure! If all that playing and learning becomes too much, a child can retire to the cosy area of our rooms for a well-deserved sleep. After a tasty lunch we might visit the library for a story, look at the clouds, or even create our own music! Whatever activity your child chooses, you can rest assured that they’ll be having fun with their friends. During the afternoon, a tea is provided. This can range from sandwiches to soup, dependent on the weather. When you arrive to collect your child, we’ll chat about their day and what they’ve achieved.
