Short profile:

Over 130 parents and wider family squeezed into the building on what must have been the wettest day of the year so far! This annual occasion is always popular, being a “fly on the wall”, and seeing what learning in a classroom is like these days! Adults squeezed on chairs with their children, taking part in all sorts of activities: measuring, role play and drama, science investigations, story telling and “kung fu punctuation”, as well as sharing in the act of remembrance with the children and staff. So many visitors commented on the children's excellent behaviour, the interaction between children and adults, and at the high level of learning that was going on.

Detailed description:

At Broomgrove we are very lucky to have many different nationalities attending our school. So we are inviting our children parents into the school to tell us about their culture and their way of life. Leo, who is in year 6, is going back to Taiwan for 10 weeks, where he will be attending school and joining in celebrations and festivals with family and friends.

On Wednesday 8th December, we had our christmas dinner. The hall was fall of the Christmas cheer, particularly from some of the members of staff (Sally). Julie our cook and Taous our head MD were presented with some presents from the children. As you can see from the pictures they looked happy enough with their gifts. Hum...Well done to all the kitchen staff and mid days for all their hard work. The dinner was lovely and I ate all mine up.
