We do this by Delivering quality - designing and developing a culture of excellence across all areas of service provision; Offering choice - ensuring a person-centred planning approach, and developing a rage of services appropriate to different needs; Providing value for money - focusing on efficiency and offering competitive services in line with market value; Improving outcomes for people with ASD - campaigning, lobbying and raising awareness of their needs; Working together - building strong links and relationships with out valued partners and stakeholders at a local, regional and national level, and developing a strong core of volunteers and members to complement our staff team; Listening to others - engaging with our service users, their families and carers, our staff, partners and fellow providers to hear their views and inform our thinking; Ensuring equality - appreciating diversity and making sure people have access to the services they need, regardless of age, gender, disability, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, religion or belief; Valuing our people - recognising that our staff, volunteers and members are integral to us fulfilling our aims and delivering quality service. Our History In 1981, a group of Bromley parents and professionals formed the Trust to raise local awareness of autism and to meet the urgent need for specialist residential provision for adults with autism, to enable them to live in their own local community. As a result, the first community residential home for adults with ASD in the UK was opened in 1982 and pioneered a whole new model of care.
