Detailed description:
We are delighted to offer our learners an excellent range of activities during the school day and after school. These include:
Games, sport, dance, gym, athletics, Tae Kwondo – in particular soccer, High 5s and rounders.
Clubs, after school, lunch-times.
An after-school band.
Parties and discos run by staff and by our PTFA.
Outdoor learning in our science garden / nature areas.
Foundation stage and KS1 children develop in our new outdoor learning area.
A traversing wall allows physical development and problem solving activities for our KS1 and KS2 children.
Outings, visits and residential visits (Hothersall Lodge for our Year 6 pupils).
Visitors, dance, theatre companies, authors.
School productions.
Inter-school events and competitions.
Specialist teaching in music: woodwind, violins and guitars.
Swimming for three different age groups.
Weekend gymnastics club.
Care Club provides activities during Breakfast (with EasyDrop), After school club, holiday club. This is an on-site centre with full involvement from the headteacher and chair of governors.
We encourage learners to join in the full life of the school and we welcome parents to enjoy these activities alongside their children.
