Our characterful buildings located on Newcastle's Quayside are situated within the new business quarter of the City. We are conveniently placed for all of Newcastle's courts and tribunals. Broad Chare Chambers has one of the most experienced criminal law groups on the North Eastern Circuit. As such it is able to offer specialist advice and advocacy in all areas of criminal law. Members of Chambers regularly practice throughout the North of England and beyond.

Our members undertake both prosecution and defence work in all kinds of criminal cases, ranging from high profile and sensitive matters requiring specialist expertise, to the more routine offences found everyday in the magistrates' and Crown Courts. Many of our barristers have developed particular expertise in such areas as commercial, Revenue and VAT frauds, drugs cases, corruption, child abuse and sexual offences. We are also represented on the Attorney-General's Panel of Counsel (Criminal), which covers work for, amongst others, HM Revenue & Customs, the Inland Revenue and the Health and Safety Executive.
