BRITISH VALVE & ACTUATOR ASSOCIATION

Short profile:

Established in 1939, the British Valve and Actuator Association represents the interests of over 100 British companies. BVAA member companies employ more than 9, 000 personnel directly in manufacturing and an equal number in support industries.

Detailed description:

The BVAA mission statement summarises the association's activities: To provide the means for collective representation on matters affecting the interests of the British valve and actuator industry. To promote and represent members and their products with customers and end users at UK and international levels. To facilitate the growth and profitability of the industry. In detail, the membership is involved in more than 50 different committees whose areas of study cover a wide spectrum on the valve and actuator industry, including the setting of European and International standards, writing codes of practice, establishing industry ground rules and, most importantly, establishing a forum for members to meet with their peers. Membership is open companies registered in the UK who manufacture, distribute or repair valves, actuators and related products. Associate Membership is available to Overseas Companies genuinely engaged in the UK market. All BVAA training courses are conducted at our head office in Banbury, Oxfordshire.
