I have been a long standing collector for over 40 years and I am absolutely appalled at the dreadful way things are now being run. I have tried repeatedly to get through on the phone and simply can't. its always busy and on the odd chance if get through suddenly drops out. I have not received anything for over 3 months and can't seeming do anything. This is an absolute disgrace all management should be sacked immediately - utterly useless!!!
Previously great service has been superseded by what can only be described as abysmal and not fit for purpose. This has been going on for months and it is time the systems were amended and new management put in place before us stamp collectors desert in droves
I recently ordered a commemoration pack and postcards from Talents House and contrary to some negative reviews I found the service to be 1st class! I found especially, your member of staff named Rem, who was extremely helpful and i received an excellent quality of service.
The new system is atrocious. If and when you do get through - at the fourth time of trying a managed it after twenty m inutes - I was talking for a further twenty or so minutes and lost the connection when I was supposed to make a payment by putting my card details in myself although I had never been told to do so. After no communication for three minutes I hung up. Get your act together Tallants House. I spend a fortune annually and you treat me - and others by the sound of it - like rubbish
I have been a member of the Philatelic Bureau since 1963, collecting mint, used, booklets, Year Books and FDCs - not an inconsiderable outlay each year, especially with the price of annual supplements in which to house the stamps. My standing order for years has been for 2 FDCs, one for the FDC album and the other for my 'used' album. Recently the Bureau decided to send only one FDC per issue, a change which I have not authorised. I have tried on numerous occasions to contact them by phone with no success, sometimes being kept waiting for over half an hour. Furthermore the credit card I use to pay for the stamps has expired so I need to tell them the new details. What a shambles! Gone are the days when I could ring and within minutes speak to a friendly operator, now I cannot speak to anyone at all.
