Short profile:
Children are encouraged to take part in a wide range of addtional activities, especially in Year Two when they can stay on after school. These include; Sports clubs and coaching, eg in football, tennis, cricket and rounders, ICT Club, Italian, Art, Swimming Creative and Traditional Dance, Fitness Club, Recorder Club, Gardening Club.
We make weekly visits to the local library and regular trips to the museum and centre of Peterborough. Our children are encouraged to walk to these destinations are are clearly visible in their school safety waistcoats. School trips further afield are subsidised by school.
Additionally, there is a Breakfast and After School Care Club available, providing a range of activities from 8 am to 6 pm daily and in the school holidays.
We bring in many outside providers to extend the children's experiences and knowledge. These range from musicians from many cultures to puppets, Chinese dancers and people from many walks of life such as the police and medical staff. Each year we have eggs to hatch into chicks so that the chidren can observe how to care for living things. The children are given the opportunity to go to the Key Theatre to enjoy a seasonal performance.
