We are a support group for people (women and men) who have or have had breast cancer, at any stage of their breast cancer experience. Our main aim is to support each other. We have learnt that just being in touch with each other is incredibly helpful
Detailed description:
Breast cancer can be isolating and scary, but meeting others and sharing information makes a real difference. We hold meetings twice a month to which anyone is welcome to "drop-in". Some meetings have a serious, breast cancer-related topic with an external speaker.
Several local health care professionals have delivered really good talks at our meetings. Other meetings have lighter "fun" topics.
There is always plenty of time for coffee and tea and the occasional curry!
