Short profile:
We are an 11-18 all ability secondary school of 1050 students situated 4 miles to the SE of the city of Lincoln.
On 1st December 2010 we became an Academy.
Recently a commercially benchmarked survey of our parents and school inspectors (Ofsted) have rated the Academy as ‘outstanding’ for its overall effectiveness.
Students thrive educationally and reach high academic standards, but within a remarkably caring, supportive and nurturing environment.
Detailed description:
We offer a full range of extra curricular activities. Sports teams and performing arts groups are vibrant and successful.
We invest in Cover Supervisors to allow students an extensive range of educational visits.
Our Business and Enterprise status involves a planned programme of entitlement days designed to promote individual enterprise and team co-operation.
Summer schools, Youth Service activities and numerous outward bounds challenges are examples of activities available on site outside the typical school day and calendar.
The Academy has received recognition and many awards for the achievements of our students in recent years. This has resulted in the Academy being rated as a ‘High Performing Specialist School’ and being offered the opportunity to take on a second specialism in Applied Learning.
