Detailed description:

The curriculum is enriched by a well planned range of educational visits and curriculum enrichment e.g theatre groups and whole school focus weeks. This year we visited Bradford Industrial Museum, Eureka and Temple Newsam Farm. In addition, we offer two residential visit, one for year 5 to Robinwood in Cumbria and the other for year 6 to Edale in Derbyshire to experience adventurous activities. The local Sports College partnership enhances provision by offering the children access to more expertise during and after school to promote physical activity. We organise cycle training for Yr5 and Yr6 and children in Yr6 are encouraged to cycle to school.

The children are encouraged to walk to school and we participate in the Walk to School Week. We have three peripthetic music teachers who teach brass, violin and woodwind instruments. The children play together in the school orchestra and perform for the parents every term. Children have many opportunites to represent the school in football, athletics, tennis and cricket.

Lunchtime clubs include recorders, keyboard, guitar, choir, orchestra, craft, cookery, games and chess club. After school activities range from French, football, athletics, TAG rugby, cricket to ICT.
