The present practice was purpose built and was opened on 4th March 2002 by local business man, Mr Dave Whelan. Our practice population of about 9, 500 is spread over a large and diverse area. As well as striving to provide the highest level of care, we are also engaged in teaching medical students from Manchester University. We are also involved in training of future GPs as well as regular other young doctors who join us on regular 4 months placements. We are committed to providing high quality GP services in a well organised, modern and friendly setting. For further questions or enquiries feel free to contact us at any time. We look forward hearing from you.
The practice operates an in house complaints procedure, a copy of which can be found on display in the surgery. While we try very hard to make our practice work for our patients, there are liable to be times when some patients feel we could improve matters. Should you encounter any problems with our services, then we would be pleased to hear any constructive suggestions as to how they might be improved. If you have a specific complaint about anything or anyone within the practice, it would be appreciated if this could be brought to the attention of the Practice Manager, in writing, who will look into the matter on your behalf, and try and resolve it to your satisfaction.
Your Doctor will always do their best for you, but they need your help to provide the finest care for all patients. Please show you support by following these simple guidelines: Please treat your doctor and their staff, as you would expect to be treated by them - with politeness and respect; Please cancel appointments that you cannot attend or no longer need - somebody else is always waiting; Please think twice before calling a Doctor to your home. Is it really necessary?; Please do not expect a prescription every time you visit the surgery - good advice is often the best treatment; Please request your repeat prescriptions in good time.
This will help avoid delays; Please remember that Doctors are only human - they cannot solve all your problems and some illnesses cannot be cured.
