Short profile:
A wide range of activities are provided for the children. Despite not having a school hall we endeavour to provide 2 hours sporting activity per week for the children. We follow the national curriculum guidelines for PE, providing games, dance, gym, athletics and swimming. We offer a range of after school sports clubs mainly for junior aged children. We also offer music tuition, art, choirs, dance and drama.
The Parent Friends Association organises discos and dances. Staff take children to places of educational interest. We encourage visiting poets, dancers, artists and musicians to visit school, they perform for the children and involve the children in their performances. We take part in inter school sporting events involving all age groups in a variety of activities such as orienteering, basketball and dance.
A group of older children take part in the schools' cross country competitions, this is supported by parents. We have a small but imaginatively designed play area and have appointed a teaching assistant to organise play activities at lunchtimes.
