We have been trading in the heart of Covent Garden for nearly 20 years, earning a reputation as one of the finest vintage clothing stores in London. At Blackout II we have a vast and beautiful range of high quality vintage dresses.

We can span all eras from the 1920s through to the 1980s. Our range covers daywear/casual, cocktail, evening gowns and party dresses.

We also have a wide stock of ladies coats, suits, matching dresses and jackets, blouses, skirts and knitwear.

We have two floors of the very best in style for both men and women dating from the 1920s up to the 1980s. Our speciality is that we have dedicated and knowledgeable staff who can truly assist in making up the perfect outfit for you from head to toe! Drop by and experience this glamorous 'Aladdin's Cave' including magnificent costume jewellery, hats, handbags and shoes. We also offer the opportunity to hire for special occasions, reenactments, photo shoots etc. What a sight for sore eyes! You won't fail to be drawn to our beautiful costume jewellery. We always keep in stock a vast array of every type of period jewellery whether it’s rhinestone or diamante for the evening or extremely smart or kitsch pieces to add a sparkle of vintage to your day.

Brooches, earrings, necklaces, bracelettes, rings and more... What could add a more beautiful finish to the perfect vintage outfit than a piece of exquisite vintage lingerie. We always keep a large range of slips, bras and girdles in stock, as well as vintage stockings to complete your outfit. At Blackout II we pride ourselves on a high quality selection of men's suits that covers most periods (where possible) from the 1940s upwards.

We can also supply shirts, ties, hats and shoes to complement all outfits. There are also dinner suits, jackets, tailcoats, morning coats and of course, overcoats.

    I visited this store recently and was absolutely shocked by the horrifically poor and patronising service that I received. I am a 33-year old mixed race professional woman from North America. I'm not sure if the colour of my skin or my accent played a role in this treatment, but if it did, I find this incredibly disappointing. Firstly, when I walked into the store and said hello to the three Caucasian women behind the counter, not one responded but they all looked straight at me. None of these women asked me if I needed help to find anything, but I was followed around the store by two of them very coldly; I felt extremely uncomfortable.

    Secondly, when I called to speak to the owner and explain what happened, she replied in a harsh tone: "You're speaking a load of rubbish". She then insulted my North American heritage by saying that: "This isn't America sweetheart - it's not all 'have a nice day'". She then proceeded to tell me that "She doesn't give a s*** about what I think" and that I should "Go and get a life"; I was then hung up on. I would advise anyone in the market for vintage clothing to steer clear of this store, and the people working in it. Shops like these don't deserve to stay in business, and the owner has no business treating me or anyone else like this. Absolutely shocking and unacceptable.
