Blackburn College has been providing education for over 120 years and is one of the largest colleges with a University Centre in the country. In 2008 Blackburn College received an outstanding Ofsted inspection, which means that you can feel confident that you will receive the best education possible delivered to a very high standard. Blackburn College has over 15, 000 students so you know you’ll be in good company. The College was awarded the Training Quality Standard (TQS) with excellence in Childhood Studies, Textiles and School Support Staff in September 2008. TQS is only awarded to organisations who deliver high quality, high impact, flexible training for businesses.
Blackburn College is one of only a few Colleges who has the TQS with excellence in three subject areas. Blackburn College has a Beacon Award for its excellence in teaching and learning.
Foundation Degrees and Honours Degrees awarded by Lancaster University, University of Glamorgan and University of Central Lancashire. Flexible learning – evening, weekend and day-time courses to fit around your lifestyle and family or work commitments.
