Detailed description:
Our extra-curricular programme is very good.We have an excellent sports staff who offer a range of clubs, including, athletics both indoor and outdoor, rugby, cricket, football and netball.
Our music department is particularly strong in promoting singing through our boys' choir, school choir and gospel choir. The take-up of peripatetic music lessons is also thriving. Our instrumental ensembles perform well in our church services.
We take part in the Shakespeare Schools project with a highly successful performance of the Tempest in October 2005 and A Midsummer Night's Dream in February 2007. Our younger children also took part in several entertaining dance drama performances at the Church services.
We placed a great emphasis on participation in the Christmas Lantern event and in several Ryde Carnivals. The children made their own costumes at workshops and produced a lively, vibrant display at the various processions. This year we have also run clubs for chess, pottery and photography. One of our most popular clubs is ICT which has so many members that the sessions have to be staggered through the week.
We have a scheme for developing pupils as Young Leaders in sports and in ICT.
