We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups. The doctors and staff at Dr Sur & Partners in Skelmersdale are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. Babies - we consider baby injections to be essential.
These protect against life threatening disease such as meningitis, whooping cough, tetanus, etc.. If you have any worries about these come and talk to us.
Adults - we can also arrange for adult vaccinations for tetanus and holiday vaccinations. We also recommend influenza vaccinations for the over-65’s and those at risk through diabetes, heart, lung and kidney problems.
Detailed description:
We offer a wide range of fully confidential contraceptive advice and treatment including the oral contraceptive pill and depo-injections. Emergency morning-after contraception is available (this must be given within 72 hours but preferably as soon as possible). Please ring the receptionist and she will arrange an emergency appointment. Smears We consider these tests to be an essential part of looking after your health. Appointments can be made with any of the doctors or nurses.
Special examinations for fitness to undertake certain sports, pre-employment medicals, HGV or taxi-driver examinations can all be carried out. A fee is payable for these and will be required at that time. Please ask at reception for details. Insurance medicals are also carried out at the request of your insurance company.
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
