Qualified in Kings College Hospital, London, in 1984 I have been in Physiotherapy practice since, excepting a short career break to raise 4 children and widen my experience in other areas of life!
I have worked in NHS outpatient departments and various private clinics during this time establishing my own business within the Birchwood Medical Practice 9 years ago.
Acupuncture for pain relief is well researched and particulary effective in both chronic and acute pain conditions.
Detailed description:
I have a keen interest in sports injuries and the treatment of back and neck pain, particulary those of a recent nature. Over the last 2 years I have been studying the way the body moves (kinetic control) and how compensatory and small inbalances, over a period of time can contribute to chronic pain and slow down the improvement of an acute injury.
Attention to posture issues, be they sitting at work or those requird by a particular sport, together with an overview of general lifestyle, our part of holistic appproach of treatment I like to adopt.
I have also been practicing acupuncture for the last 9 years and am a registered member of the AACP.
