BIRCH COPSE PRIMARY SCHOOL

A range of sport is available, including football, netball, aerobics and athletics.

Children have opportunities to experience a range of musical activities, including music festival events at the Hexagon, choir club, productions, peripatetic music teachers for guitar, violin, woodwind, recorders and piano.

As well as arts activities in lessons, we have had many Art themed days and weeks. We have run dance clubs and drama clubs, employed the services of an artist in residence and participated in the British Red Cross Dance Competition.

Outdoor learning is more available, especially in the Foundation Stage.

There are a wide range of educational visits in every year group, including residential visits in Years 5 and 6. We also have visitors to school, for example Learning Through Action.

The school offers a range of after school clubs. These are well attended by the children. Some of the clubs compete in various tournaments. Last year the Netball A Team finished second in their league and the Netball B Team came first in their league.

There are also activities available to the children through our extended services work as part of the Little Heath Partnership.
