Our AAALAC-accredited laboratory has been providing clients with drug safety and toxicology data for over 30 years. Located on a 52-acre campus in a rural setting near Evansville, Indiana, our preclinical research facility occupies a total of 90, 000 square feet in 11 buildings. BASi is large enough to have all the resources and experience to complete your projects expertly and on time, yet small enough to be flexible and responsive.
BASi has emphasized the importance of reducing animal numbers and refining data. We are continuing this tradition as we move forward with utilizing Dried Blood Spot (DBS) technologies and have a number of initiatives that capture the advantages dried sample spots offer.
Dried Blood Spot sampling offers advantages for the collection, storage and shipping of blood samples for drug analysis. The small volumes utilized in DBS are a good fit for multiple small volume collections from animals such as mice and rats. Use of DBS technologies for this purpose make it possible to reduce the overall number of experimental animals required for development. However, this collection technique goes beyond early discovery and can be a low-stress sampling option for mice as well as man.
High sample throughput at BASi is made possible by a total of 40 LC-MS/MS instruments and the latest in automated sample preparation technology. Studies are coordinated through our three labs in the U.S. and U.K. to ensure on-time delivery of data.
We can give you an endless variety of clinical kits to meet all your needs. We have experience in building the kits and in analyzing their contents once they have been completed and returned.
