Betteridge & Milsom are a Chartered Quantity Surveying practice based in Canterbury, Kent. We have been established for over 20 years and provide a comprehensive service to our clients.
Ray Milsom joined Widnell & Trollope's Canterbury office as a trainee in 1968. Whilst working for Widnell, Ray had sojourns working in some of the overseas offices including such exotic postings as Oman and Brussels.
George Betteridge left Burrell Hayward & Budd in 1982 and joined the Canterbury office of Widnell & Trollope where he met Ray. In late 1985 George left, soon to be joined by Ray. They formed Betteridge & Milsom in 1986.
Detailed description:
Paul Gannaway joined Betteridge & Milsom in 1989 and became a Chartered Surveyor in 1997 having studied at Anglia Polytechnic University.
In 2005 Keith Robertson, the Managing Director of Burrell Hayward & Budd, decided to retire and the interest in the practice was purchased by George & Ray. The name Burrell Hayward & Budd was retained in the short term.
In April 2007 the two practices merged to form Betteridge & Milsom Ltd. George Betteridge and Ray Milsom have been joined as directors by Paul Gannaway and recently, in January 2009 Andrew Walker became Associate Director.
As a practice we have over 20 years experience in providing quantity surveying services in the construction industry. Our role is to manage and control financial aspects of the construction process. Our aim is to ensure that a project is completed within budget. We provide cost planning services, develop them into robust cost reports, prepare tender documentation, arrange contracts, control financial issues during construction, agree accounts and prepare post contract analysis.
