The oldest Hotel in Englands oldest recorded town. The Best Western Rose and Crown Hotel, originally a 14th century posting house, lovingly restored to a modern day hotel.
The Hotel has just added 9 new executive bedrooms, which feature LCD tvs, airconditioning, laptop charging safes and higher quality fixtures and furnishings. Alternatively, choose from the historic oakbeamed rooms in the orginal house, or the more contemporary rooms in the main building. All rooms have a new entertainment system.

The Oakroom a 2 AA rosette fine dine restaurant, specialises in Indian and French Fusion cusine. Also the Tudor Bar/Brasserie, with traditional foods and ales. Within walking distance of Colchester Town centre and accessible to all the historic sights of East Anglia.
Two dedicated meeting rooms. The Rose Suite can seat upto 100 people theatre style and benefits from natural daylight. The prison bar is ideal for the more intimate meeting, and seats up to 20 people theatre style. 9 new executive bedrooms have been added with conference delegates in mind. Disabled rooms are available.
