The Belfast City Hospital Trust is a 900-bed modern university teaching hospital providing local acute services and key regional specialties, including renal medicine and transplantation and a comprehensive range of cancer services. Detailed description:
For most wards, visiting times are between 2.30pm-4.30pm and 6.30pm-8.15pm. Visiting times are displayed at the entrance to the wards. If a ward has unusual visiting times, specific to that area then patients and their carers/relatives will be informed.
Normally, visiting is limited to two people at any one time except in circumstances when more or less visitors are deemed necessary for the patient’s welfare. If a patient is seriously ill, close family and friends may visit out of hours – but this should be agreed with the Ward Manager.
Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. Under 5’s will only be permitted to visit in exceptional circumstances.
