Short profile:

The Behaviour Management Strategies was established by Warwick Dyer in 1997. Since this time we have developed rapidly, providing high quality training and consultancy in the fields of parental interaction in the home and behaviour and classroom management and efficient teacher delivery. The consultancy was established supported by other former members of the prestigious Tower Hamlets School Support Team. With expansion the Consultancy is supported by associate consultants drawn from the fields of education, training, and research.

Detailed description:

Warwick Dyer and the Consultancy use three main models for training. The first is run a lecture/workshop day based on the principle concerns of the staff gathered at fact-finding conversations during a coffee/conversation period prior to the start of the day's training. The second is through short half-hour observations of a cross-section of individual members of staff followed by a general feedback of the issues gathered and observed during a lecture/workshop session.

The third is like the second except the feedback is done with each staff member individually. This model can used with one or two targeted individuals or used in half hour slots for all or most staff during the course of a day or two days.

This model is becoming increasingly popular with schools. Warwick is also happy to work with variations of these models or with pre-existing models with which staff are already comfortable.
