Beeches Bungalow gives 5 to 18 year olds with varying degrees of learning and physical disabilities the chance to stay away from home, learn skills, make friends and give their family and / or relatives a break from providing ongoing care.

The respite centre has five individual bedrooms which are decorated to help the children feel as 'at home' as possible whilst 24 hour care is available from the centre's nursing team.

Detailed description:

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides health and social care services for people of all ages with mental health problems, drug and alcohol problems and learning disabilities in Surrey and North East Hampshire. We also provide some specific services across our borders, particularly:

learning disability social care services in Croydon and Hampshire; minor provision of specialist mental health services in Croydon.

We employ around 3, 000 staff across 74 sites, serving a population of 1.3 million. As a Foundation Trust have over 5, 000 public members and we actively seek to involve and engage people who use our services and our communities in improving the mental wellbeing of the local population.

The Trust was formed on 1 April 2005 following the merger of Surrey Hampshire Borders NHS Trust, Surrey Oaklands NHS Trust and North West Surrey Partnership NHS Trust. We achieved achieved Foundation Trust status on 1 May 2008.
