Detailed description:
We firmly believe in a very broad and balanced curriculum covering a wide range of activities. We enlist the help of community and parent volunteers where possible and practical to enhance after school club provision and the variety of additional activities within the taught day. We have very strong links to local art galleries and museums and we hold annual residential experiences for Years 4, 5 and 6. These residential experiences cover: Historical and Geographical study in Y4; Adventurous pursuits in Y5; and Geographical and Personal and Social Development in Y6.
We are very fortunate to have musical and art expertise on our staff team and musical activities feature highly in the annual calendar of school events. We take part in a number of community events each year including: Bath Primary Arts Festival; Mid-Somerset Festival; Church Services; Bridgemead Senior Citizens concert; Bath Festival; Science fair; Robotics challenge; and various sporting tournaments.
Our current club programme includes: Latin; recorders; ensemble; watercolour; tennis; French; cricket; football; netball; gymnastics; country dancing; chess; Eco-group. Peripatetic music teachers take string, classical guitar, flute and clarinet lessons.
