Detailed description:
Visits to museums, historical sites, science fairs, localities, both local and abroad, to enrich and enlive the curriculum. Our Year 5 and 6 pupils have the opportunity to travel to France and Holland, alternating years, for their residential trip.
We have increased our range of curriculum sport with outside coaches coming into school for basketball, hockey, Judo, tennis and lacrosse as well as those of football, netball and rugby.
Key Stage 2 children do swimming as part of the P. E. Curriculum.
There is a range of after school clubs for Key Stage 2 children: Dance, Art, Netball, Football, Tennis, Cookery, Performing Arts, Cricket, Science, Gardening, Newspaper Club.
Year 5 are currently involved in the 'Write Team Project' which involves authors and poets coming in each week to work with the children and culminates in performance at a local theatre.
Year 4 are currently involved with the 'Friends' project which involes the school nurse team coming in and working to raise self esteem, boost good relationships and mental health
