Short profile:
Banbury Animal Rescue and Kindness Service is a small, local, self-funding, volunteer run local charity dedicated to the rescue, care and re-homing of cats, kittens, rabbits, guinea pigs and small rodents. We rely totally on volunteers to make this happen and the Board is now seeking to recruit new trustees with governance, secretarial, fundraising, finance, ICT, PR or legal experience to help us run the charity and to realise our goal of establishing a permanent centre.
Detailed description:
We have been operating since 1986 and became a Registered Charity in 1997. A monthly meeting is held of our small committee of core volunteers to organise fundraising events. If you’d like to join our friendly and informal committee, then please get in touch. We take in stray and unwanted cats, kittens, rabbits and guinea pigs and find them good, caring, approved homes.
Barks has been successfully re-homing cats and small animals around Banbury for over 30 years. We have a good selection of rabbits and guinea pigs looking for caring new homes. We re-home our rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals nationwide as we are unable to carry out home visits but do our best to ensure that they are adopted by good, caring, knowledgeable homes.
All rabbits are vaccinated against myxomatosis. All adult rabbits and adult male guinea pigs are neutered so they can be paired with females without the risk of breeding.
