As a practice registered with The Royal Institute of British Architects, The Royal Town Planning Institute and The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists we are able to offer an extensive and complete Architectural Service.

the North Mill at Belper, one of the oldest industrial buildings in the world.

John L. Bakewell began practising architecture in the Derbyshire mill town of Belper in the 1920s, and formed the practice of Bakewell & Partners in 1947. Since then the practice has designed many projects in Belper and the surrounding Derbyshire countryside, building up particular expertise in small housing developments on difficult sites and in conversion of barns and other redundant agricultural buildings to residential use.
