AVS NEWCASTLE LTD

AVS began life in 1986 when Paul Davis and Ken Reay began operating a repair service in a rented workshop at the back of Arthur Bowman's TV and electrical shop on Chillingham Road in Heaton, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Eventually they purchased the whole building and Bowman rented the front shop from AVS.

In 1992 an audio engineer was added to the ranks, then in 1995 Bowman's shop closed leaving the whole building to the AVS repair service. In 1997 a video engineer joined the staff closely followed by two TV engineers. Then an outside service became neccessary so company vans were purchased and drivers and apprentices were trained for field service. As TVs became much bigger with Home Cinema products like Projection TVs, Plasma and LCD TVs the shop seemed to shrink - so in 2005 AVS finally left the Heaton area, and moved to much larger premises near North Shields. There are now 11 staff employed.

CD, DVD, Video and Audio repairs are carried out in our new workshop where our facilities utilise the very latest technological developments. AVS Newcastle Ltd. are able to repair all makes and types of electronic audio equipment: amplifiers, CD players, dvd recorders and players as well as analogue VHS Video recorders.
