Once pre priced, labelled and watered the trolleys are delivered on temperature controlled vehicles dedicated to Danish trolley transport. In ‘peak season’ a local haulier is able to provide fast and efficient additional transport at short notice to enable the continuity of bedding plant deliveries.

We use the Danish Trolley system which has for many years become the one piece of equipment that nearly everything else has been designed around .

It is a wheeled returnable transport system and is the horticultural industry standard for the delivery of pot plants, bedding plants and flowers in the UK.

With continuing increased labour costs and static sales prices, most medium and large sized businesses are looking towards mechanical transplanting . The advantages are uniformity, and ability to work at a set speed whatever time of day.

The disadvantages are of course the initial capital cost and having to build everything around the machine, such as box filling machinery and of course making sure the plugs are at exactly the right size to transplant.

Above trolleys ready for despatch are pushed into a ‘TrolliTun’ which waters all the boxes with a set amount of water keeping them fresh all the way through the transport system to the store.
