Avantifix was born when, during the course of 1997, ITW Spit took a decision to withdraw from direct sales and fall in line with other ITW companies throughout the world, selling through a network of distributors.

At the end of 1997 Avantifix was incorporated and became the major northern Spit distributor operating from the existing Spit premises at Castleford. The majority of our staff are former Spit employees with many years experience selling the Spit brand.
Detailed description:
We have continued to supply our existing customer base throughout the North and, as the staff, premises and phone numbers remained the same, the only noticable change was a switch in the invoice details from Spit to Avantifix.
Over recent months the sales team has been expanded. Again the emphasis has been on experience, as we believe that where we are stronger than our competitors is the level of service and technical knowledge we are able to provide.
We are the largest Spit stockist in the UK and although we continue to support the Spit brand and other divisions of ITW (Buildex, Paslode and Plexus) we are, as an independent company, able to supply a much wider product range to meet our customer requirements.
Our main areas of business are the North West and Yorkshire, but we have a large customer base throughout the UK and Scotland and can supply your sites promptly at any UK location.
