Most of our reconditioned Starters are meticulously rebuilt and tested here on our premises. Every component is checked for wear and most replaced with new. That is why we can give a 1 year guarantee**.

If the Unit is generally in good order but a single component has failed, often a simple repair is the cost effective answer.

We are happy to test your starter motor for a small fee (FREE if you subsequently buy a Unit) just to confirm your diagnosis.

Largely for Alternators as often they sit on top of the engine and look so much better if colour coded to complement the car's colour.

Auto Unit can strip, check, powder coat and re-assemble each unit in solid colours, metallics and even Smoked Chrome.

Whilst we cannot guarantee to match some colours exactly, most enthusiasts of Custom Cars like their Alternators to be Powder Paint Coded.

This process gives a tough, shiny coating of their preferred colour to enhance the engine bay.

Alternators of V8 engines often sit on the top of the engine block between the 2 banks of cylinders so are very noticeable when just a corroded, dull, grey casting.
