Astra was founded in 1986 and this year celebrates 22 years of giving their customers great value and service. Astra originally operated from two sites in Derby and Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire selling primarily carpets, where they built an enviable reputation for carpet fitting and installation. 1999 saw the transfer of the Kirkby-in-Ashfield business to a new larger store on Lowmoor Road enabling Astra to increase their stocking facilities and add beds and sofas to their product range, and at the same time increase their flooring products to include laminates, real wood floors and Karndean Designer Floors.
