Our belief that all students should be given the opportunity to fly', is not only provided academically, but through our all-embracing extra curricular provision. OFSTED January 2006 said that the extensive range of extra-curricular activities, and not just in the arts, further enrich the curriculum, as do the many opportunities offered to students to travel abroad with the college & the international dimension is an outstanding element of college life. Cultural links abroad provide students with rich opportunities to develop and exhibit their art and engage in music-making abroad.
Regular musical and drama productions are also a unique feature of the college, contributing very positively to students cultural development. There is an extensive range of sports clubs running at both lunchtimes and after College.
The College Combined Cadet Force is particularly unusual in a secondary modern school. The Powerlifting Club has a number of National Champions
