Our huge gardens and fruit trees bring nature discovery to our doorstep. Picking an apple and eating it at snack time or growing organic vegetables that will be served for lunch are fantastic ways of developing a knowledge and understanding of the world. Fresh produce can be taken home to be enjoyed with the family, while hunting for mini beasts, clambering and hiding, skipping, ball games and zooming about on trikes are all great fun too. There is a separate baby and toddler garden for safe adventures outdoors.

Staff provide fun and education as they work to ensure your child develops as an individual, with structured activities to suit their interests and progress. Splashing paint, making music, squishing playdoh, cosying up with a book, role play, baking biscuits or learning early ICT skills, there is endless scope to promote independence, decision making and problem solving. A Key Person is assigned to look after the specific needs both of your child and you as parents.

Because we believe parents are their child’s primary educators, we make sure you are centrally involved – through our sharing bags to be taken home and explored together, for example. Parents’ evenings, a parent forum and parent observations are other ways we ensure a two-way flow of information, knowledge and expertise between parents and staff.
