Short profile:
When parents and children first come into Bush Hill Park Day Nursery they are made to feel welcome, valued and important – and they’ll be so throughout their time with us. This is a wonderful place for children to feel loved, be safe, meet new friends and achieve their full potential. We’ve been here 15 years and there’s a close community feel to the nursery, with older brothers and sisters often popping back to say hello. The fact that several members of our highly qualified staff have children here, including our manager Nicola, proves our commitment to providing premium childcare and education. We have a great local reputation!
Detailed description:
Painting, drawing, building, digging, climbing and chatting with friends, children at Bush Hill Park Day Nursery have full, enjoyable days. They’re learning through play and they’re having so much fun as they do. Our free-flow policy lets them choose their own activities and follow their interests, and Ofsted noted with praise that ‘all children are encouraged to be independent learners, ’ giving us a Good report. From construction games to music, playdoh to quiet time with a book, there’s plenty going on. Every lunchtime our chef Emma makes lovely hot food for the children to enjoy and our roast dinners are legendary! Meals are delicious, nutritious and freshly prepared.
Afterwards calm reigns as our younger children are rocked or sung to sleep, and the Pre-School group have a PE lesson, learning new skills from football to hockey, do a creative workshop or work together on our ICT equipment. Outside we have a play area for babies with a large protective sun-shade and lots of sensory and tactile toys. Over the road is our large playground with a beautiful wooden playhouse for role-play and story telling, a climbing frame and sand pit. Reaching it is ideal road-safety practice, a skill not taught in other nurseries.
Free settling-in sessions allow each child to build a strong relationship with the key worker who will give them continuity and security. There is no limit on the number of sessions each child can have as we work to ensure a smooth transition from home to nursery.
