Short profile:
Bolton Day Nursery is a fantastic contemporary setting, newly renovated to provide bright, modern rooms with children’s art and a superb outdoor space. You child will be in the loving care of talented, conscientious staff who are highly qualified up to degree level and led by a dedicated manager who has been at the nursery since it opened in 1999. Security is paramount and we have recently upgraded to a biometric fingerprint system that makes absolutely sure only people with authorised access can get in.
Detailed description:
Children learn through state-of-the-art ICT equipment, including three interactive whiteboards and a touch-screen computer. A CD Rom package provides the children with new and exciting ways to learn numeracy and literacy skills, both individually and in groups. Programmable toys, Bee-Bots, cameras and recording equipment engage the children in the world of technology, with metal detectors enhancing outdoor discovery. Further equipment includes a Light Box, which allows the children to explore shades, colour and the properties of light, while our torch set enables the children to set the scene when reading stories, or investigate different areas of the nursery. We are passionate about giving children a head start in life, preparing them for school and supporting their interests in the world around them.
Our extra curricular activities include: Swimming lessons for the over threes, available on Mondays and Fridays. Tennis lessons for the over threes, available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Dance lessons taught by a qualified member of staff. Baby massage sessions for 0-12 months.
Sign a long for all nursery children, developing early communication skills. Stay and Play sessions for parents to attend, which are themed to incorporate different aspects of the children’s learning, such as 'Baking with Linda'. Book library available to all nursery children.
