Aspire is a social enterprise with a mission to give people the chance to re-build their lives through creating and developing sustainable businesses. We passionately believe in the transforming role of work in helping our workers fulfil their potential. We provide full-time employment, accredited training and work placement opportunities.
Since its creation in May 1999, Aspire has been dedicated to tackling homelessness at the root itself rather than attempting a quick-fix solution. Aspire also now work with the long term unemployed and ex-offenders empowering them to take responsibility through job and placement opportunities in our businesses.

What does Aspire do?
Aspire creates sustainable means of employment by employing people to work in its core businesses. Through this process employees feel they are contributing to the company's existence and as a result employees gain more pride in their work together with the drive to do the work itself.
Does Aspire work?
In the last year, 12 homeless people were helped into full time work, including several ex-offenders and people with a past history of drug abuse. The majority of employees move on successfully, people have progressed to work in cafes, computing, factory work, and even into hotel management. Nationwide, over 450 people have now directly benefited from employment through the federation of Aspires co-ordinated by the new national Aspire Co-op. Additionally, many more are now helped by work placements in our businesses.
Aspire works in Bristol, together with Blackpool, East London, Manchester, Oxford and Sheffield, all working together to solve the growing social problem of homelessness and the dis-advantaged in the job market.
