Went here for a bridesmaid dress alteration and left ashamed and embarrased. I booked an appiontment a month or so in advance, phoned up a few week beforehand to confirm the appointment, and phoned again on the morning of the appointment to confirm again. Turned up to the store and the girl who served me was frustrated as she supposedly 'didn't know i was coming'. As we went to the changing room (which didnt have a curtain, and could easily see a man a few feet from me looking in) the girl told me to "hurry up as she was busy". I told her that the dress just need to be increased by about 3 inches so that it could zip up fully. She responded by saying it was impossible (i went to another seamstress after this and was told it was a basic alteration). Another employee came over an measured me with a tradesmens measuring tape, and said it was more like 7 inches than 3 inches. i'd never been so ashamed in my life and could've easily burst into tears at that moment. They then continued making comments about me which were on the verge of mocking me. Can't comment on the quality of their work, but they definitely need to learn some customer service skills. I will definitely not be returning here again.

The quality of our customer service is of utmost importance to us and it is never our intention to offend. Consequently, we have reviewed this complaint with great care and have not rushed into our reply. No specific appointment had been made for this lady and we had not spoken to her directly. The invitation to bring the garment into us was made over the weekend (1st July-4th July) via another satisfied customer who asked if we could be of help at short notice for a bridesmaid dress alteration. The request was of three days notice and not a month. Consequently our tailoress was unaware when the lady would come in. She certainly did not say "hurry up, I'm busy", but words to the effect " I am presently quite busy." By this was meant that it might be difficult to undertake the alteration in the time span required.The first language of our tailoress is not English and she sometimes needs assistance to undertand a request. She is always extremely polite. It is true that our changing facilities are not the best but are currently being updated. Any male is informed if someone has a fitting and they will always move to another part of the building and this was the case on this occasion. There was and never is a "man a few feet from me looking in". Our tailoress was and is of the view that she would not be abe to undertake the alteration to her standards and, in that sense, was impossible. There was no available fabric to make the necessary adjustment. No comments were made which were intended to be mocking in any form. While we fully understand the way a customer will feel when we are not able to complete the work wished for we do not expect to suffer untrue criticism.

I have taken my suit and shirt here to be cleaned on 2 occasions. I was greeted by cheerful and friendly staff. The service is brilliant, no worrying about sending off your items as its all done there. My suit was ready for collection within 2 working days. The staff were willing to wait on a bit after closing as i was running late, something i find most high street shops dont often do... I will be using them on a regular basis
