Only the finest of ingredients are used and our team of trained managers & production supervisors ensure that every sandwich meets our strict quality inspections. Many products are sourced locally helping the local economy and reducing food miles. These include cheese from Garstang, Roast beef from Lancaster, Lamb from Nelson, local chutneys and bread from Coppull. All Ashberry sandwiches are distributed by our own fleet of temperature controlled vehicles. Sandwiches are delivered direct to stores by our team of friendly delivery drivers.

We have a large and satisfied customer portfolio based throughout the North West. These are retail customers all working to improve their ‘food on the go’ offerings. Ashberry delivery areas cover all the locations of Booths stores. The sandwich market is huge with in excess of £3 billion per annum and is continuing to grow.

Research shows that the wedges still account for 74% of all sandwich sales. The overall sandwich market is expected to grow from 3.5bn in 2003 to 4.7bn in 2007. Convenience and impulse sector accounts for 15% of the volume market. Wedge triple pack sales are up 19% year-on-year to 12/2004 The 2004 Snacking and Prepared foods report from Harris International Marketing shows that 39% of shoppers will trade down to a cheaper sandwich if their preferred variety isn’t available, while as many as 27% will go to another store.
