ARGYLE STREET MEDICAL CENTRE

Updated 4 months ago

Short profile:

We are a designated Yellow Fever Centre and can provide you with your vaccine and certificate. A specialist from the local hospital visits the surgery regularly. We have obtained the necessary equipment so you can receive the same services as at the hospital clinic but within the comfort of your own practice.

We are now able to provide an “in-house” physiotherapy service. You can utilise this service if your doctor thinks it appropriate.

We have a well-being worker at the practice - you need to be referred into this service by the doctor. The waiting times are approximately 2 weeks.

Detailed description:

The doctors and staff at Argyle Street Medical centre are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. The Practice was established in 1963 and has since developed into a five doctor practice. We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

The premises were redeveloped in 1984 and again, substantially in 1995. The Doctors do not work as a limited partnership.

The Practice Boundaries are roughly co-terminus with the Heywood Township Boundaries.
