To keep up high stands in the pond trade Peter Philpott only employs experienced aquatic personnel. The majority of our pond work upto 90% in the sussex and west sussex region comes from reccommendation and repeat custom due to our reliability, standard of work, approachable manor and knowledge of our trade. What do we do:- Pond cleaning. With any pond cleanout we try to save at least 50% of the original clean pond water in our various holding tanks. This where any pond fish or aquatic plants will also be stored for return back to the pond. Once all the pond water is removed any pond silt, rubbish, aquatic pond plants will be removed where possible until completely empty. The liner will be gentle scrubbed down as not to damage it to remove as much aglae or dirt as possible and then finally washed down. At this stage any aquatic pond plants would be cut back and repotted where nessecary, pond pumps cleaned and serviced and pond filters overhauled.

New UVC tubes would be installed and the pond filter foams washed down using pond water as to preserve as much natural bacteria in them as possible. Any pond waterfall would be cleaned down. At this point the original pond water along with the pond fish would be returned back to the pond. Any tap water needed to top up the pond would be made safe with a dechlorinator. Pond maintenance. We carry out from once a year services to once a month. A pond maintenance includes the use of a pond hoover to reduce the build up silt.

Any pond pumps and pond filters would be overhauled and pond aquatic plants maintained. Waterfalls would be cleaned out and scrubbed down. If blanketweed is a problem this would be reduced and a treatment added to help inhibit its growth. Pond Construction.
