Across the Atlantic, Ian had discovered the comfort of “floatation” sleeping as he slept on a waterbed in his relatives’ home. So impressed was he with the comfort of their watermattress, he packed one in his suitcase and brought it home.
Back home in Merseyside, Ian continued his passion for water-based sleep systems. Acquiring a tiny factory of just 800 square feet on the Wirral, he began, as a one-man-band, to produce his own bespoke waterbeds.
