Appleyard & Trew was established in 1969 as a Partnership of Quantity Surveyors.
In 2009 the Practice celebrated 40 years in the Construction Industry, current Partners and Staff continue the traditions and values of the founding Partners providing customer focussed services and solutions.
The practice is medium sized within the industry, giving us the flexibility to provide attention to detail on smaller projects whilst at the same time providing the resources to complete large and complex projects throughout the United Kingdom.
We provide full Project Management Services, from inception through to occupation, specifically formatted to suit the Client’s needs and budgets.
Our team of qualified professionals deliver these services based on strong leadership together with practical experience working within tested management procedures that allow us to challenge and positively contribute throughout to the design, procurement and delivery process.
Detailed description:
These services can be provided as stand alone disciplines or a combined one-stop service by qualified staff operating out of 4 UK offices (Manchester, London, Nottingham and Harrogate).
The practice is owned by its' Partners; we have no external shareholders to answer to and therefore avoid the pressures that this sometimes creates.
A significant volume of our workload is obtained through repeat commissions and personal recommendation.
1969 Appleyard & Trew founded by Mike Appleyard and Ian Trew.
1972 London Office opens in Covent Garden.
1989 Appointed by De Vere Hotels as Quantity Surveyor for the new Oulton Hall Hotel which, when opened in 1993, would be the only 5* hotel in the North of England.
1996 Quantity Surveyor on the Centenary Building at The University of Salford, winner of the inaugural ‘Stirling Prize’.
2004 BSF is launched by Tony Blair; The Dura Exemplar design as costed by Appleyard & Trew is used as the launch model.
2009 Appleyard & Trew celebrate 40 years of excellence.
Quantity Surveying represents the core service of Appleyard & Trew LLP. Our Surveying staff are in the majority Chartered, all directly employed and are able to communicate effectively with our Clients and other building professionals.
Whatever the project size, the level of service remains the same and our service is totally flexible and can be adapted to suit the individual Client requirements.
Our Philosophy is simple, we are managing our Client’s money and therefore we should give them the choice and opportunity as to where to spend it based upon our independent and impartial advice.
