Short profile:

At Appledown Kennels, we have been providing boarding kennels and cattery facilities since 1993 in Dunstable, Bedfordshire.

In 2001/02 we completely rebuilt our accommodation for all cats and dogs, providing dog kennels and cat pens with individual heating and enough space for 2 pets.

Detailed description:

Our numerous services include rescue and re-homing of dogs, an exercise area, veterinary attention, medication administration and obedience training, amongst many others. Anyone is welcome to look around our facilities 7 days a week and collection & delivery can be arranged for week days. So if you're planning a weekend away or a long holiday, we can provide long and short stays, weekend stays and long stay discounts for your pets.

    dirty staff unhelpful rottie guard dogs nasty smell not nice would never leave my dog in them kennels kennel maids need a lesson in being polite and friendly.

    • Helena Coleman: I found staff at Appledown to be enormously dedicated, polite and friendly. They are happy for people to visit 7 days a week and kennels will always need mucking out in the mornings and during the day , they cant always be clean. The two dogs that I considered adopting were extremely well looked after and always clean when I came to see them. I have given a permanent home to one of the dogs and I know I can go to them any time for help and support with any issues that arise with him. The rottweillers are there for security and do thier job well, if you are not posing a threat to the staff or animals at Appledown then you need never worry about the Rottweillers.
    • Heather50:I was shocked to read that comment. The most important thing to the staff is that the dog is safe, particularly if they are being adopted. This may mean that unsuitable persons find the process uncomfortable. But I have adopted a dog from this kennel and they were amazingly helpful and caring.
