Annie Lambley-Steel: a qualified, BACP Accredited therapist working within the BACP ethical framework. I have wide and varied counselling experience gained over many years through my private practice in Carterton and through working in several agencies.
I work within an Integrative approach using several theory models. This enables me to find the best method to work with each individual or couple. I fully appreciate that the hardest step to seek help is the first one. My dedication to helping you with your problems starts with a one to one assessment session.
Detailed description:
A therapeutic relationship is based on trust and in order for productive work to be carried out, the client must trust his or her therapist. I provide a safe, caring and confidential environment with no distractions for you to explore your feelings and areas you need to work on, to help you make effective choices and changes.
With that in mind, I always offer an assessment session. This is where we would meet and I would answer any questions you may have about counselling. You could introduce any areas you may like to work on so that the session provides both of us with an essence of what it would be like to work with each other. If we choose to work together, we would then agree on the number of sessions, whether it is to be long term, short term or open ended work. Brief therapy can be an equally rewarding experience depending on circumstances.
