Feasibility Studies: At a very early stage of the project, we are called upon to consider the suitability of the site for the intended work. For a feasibility study, we will typically do the following: Organise a topographical survey; Organise soil and environmental surveys; Summarise the results of the surveys and investigations and make recommendations. In conjunction with the quantity surveyors, advise clients on the cost benefits or otherwise. Our structural engineers are frequently called in to carry out structural surveys, primarily to determine the suitability of buildings for their intended use, or for conversion or addition. Andrew Howard and Partners also have expertise in carrying out structural surveys of reinforced and pre-treated concrete reservoirs, used for storing portable water.

We use a comprehensive range of equipment where required in order to carry out objective assessments. Andrew Howard and Partners provide a complete design service for all types of structures, using a wide range of appropriate computer techniques. We have the capability to design structures in a wide range of materials, with building types ranging from the education and leisure sectors to commercial and industrial buildings for both the public and private sectors. Andrew Howard and Partners have been involved in the design of civil engineering works directly for clients as well as being part of a design and construct team. Our design experience ranges from infrastructure design for housing to water treatment works and facilities for waste transfer. We have experience in undertaking work as an expert witness for legal and other proceedings arising out of a construction-related dispute.
