Environmental awareness is central to the Allendale Estates ethos. The latest commercial development at Bearl is heated by woodchip and is designed to the highest environmental specification. At Sod Hall, the hot water is powered by solar panels. With our residential properties we constantly strive to upgrade the buildings, making them more energy efficient. Conservation is key when it comes to shooting. The intensive work by our Gamekeepers and the Estate Team generally, has resulted in the Estates being home to a wide variety of rare and interesting species of birds and animals. Residential Property : The Allendale Estates manage a portfolio of nearly 120 residential units.

These range from six-bedroom family homes to single bedroom flats. The properties are all maintained to a high standard with a policy of periodic refurbishment between tenancies. Many houses are let on an affordable basis to local residents. Commercial Property: The Allendale Estates were one of the first rural estates in the area to diversify by developing redundant farm buildings into high-quality office space.
