The core business was mainly in the farming sector but recently they have been expanding into plant sales, which is mainly situated at the Charlemont yard, at Moy. They are main agents for CASE IH, McConnell hedge cutters, Terex, and Kobelco. An extensive list of both new and quality second-hand machinery and plant are always in stock. Other Family interests include a limestone quarry, which supplies lime and building stone. In excess of 700 acres of land is farmed and a water powered turbine has been commissioned which supplies electricity to the national Grid.

From 1945 Alexander Mills has been prominent in the supply of agricultural machinery and supplies to the farming industry. Their business supplies products all across Ireland. Three generations of the Mills' have continued to build upon each success.
